But, Indian Television also has its fair share of disastrous and pathetic reality shows.

5. Emotional Atyachar
This controversial show was under tough scrutiny by the Delhi High Court. It was decided that it should be taken off air for allegedly spreading vulgarity.
Concept Of the show was conducting sting operations to expose the cheating partner’s infidelity. Fake dramatization of the so-called real life events and the super melodramatic episodes titled “Cheater Teacher”, “Blackmail Bhabhi” made it much more worse Indian Reality Shows.
4. The Swayamvar Trilogy
This show documented Rakhi Sawant’s hunt for her perfect husband. She found her husband or so called “Saccha Pyar” in Elesh who later failed to understand Rakhi’s never ending drama.
If Thats Not Enough to give you a permanent brain Damage. Then came Rahul ka Swayamvar which found its controversial path when the winner Dimpy accused the groom Rahul Mahajan of abusing her.
That was not enough for the creators so they came up with another season which saw Ratan Rajput on a serious groom hunt with the same old story again where wannabe contestants trying to woo the celebrity bride/groom? This show was an absolute disaster.
3. Kya Aap Paanchvi Paas Se Tez Hain?
“Kya Aap Paanchvi Paas Se Tez Hain?” was a reality game-quiz show hosted by shahrukh khan. It was an Indian version of are you smarter than a 5th grader?
This show saw engineers, teachers, doctors, lawyers, basically adults trying to answer 5th grade questions. And honestly most of the questions asked on this show are way tougher than the normal Paanchvi class syllabus.
That’s why the show never came back after the first season.
2. Big Boss
Indian television has produced a lot of senseless shows in the past and continues to do so. But it achieved a new low in 2006 when it decided to Copy the UK-based reality show Big Brother, called Bigg Boss.
Since then, the show has been hosted by Arshad Warsi, Shilpa Shetty, Amitabh Bachchan and Sanjay Dutt. The most popular bhai of the country aka Salman Khan has been the longest running host.
It is a show that thrives on making people miserable. It is, by nature, a dangerous show that revels in entertaining the viewers by making its contestants participate in inane exercises.
And the contestants plot, plan, employ cheap strategies to make sure that they win these exercises. So why people are still obsessed about the show? One of the mysteries of this universe.
1. Roadies
It is basically a platform for people who have no ambitions and goals in life to follow. Every other buff narcissistic Punjabi guy is either a model or an actor, all of them say Roadies is life.
I’m here to play my own game and Trust no one. Raghu’s rude behaviour and extremely offensive comments, the infinite times Raghu abusing and shouting and Raghu’s shiny bald head are just few of those many things any viewer observes while watching this show.
Just when we thought Raghu and Rajiv had left the show, enter the equally bad, phony judges. In our opinion it should have been banned a long time ago.
