5. Guru Dutt –
Vasanth Kumar Shivashankar Padukone or better known as Guru Dutt was a world-renowned actor, director, and producer at a time when the film culture was rising in India.
He was famous for producing lyrical and artistic films within the context of popular Hindi cinema of the 1950s and expanding its commercial conventions.
He made the 1950s and 1960s classics such as Pyaasa, Kaagaz Ke Phool, Sahib Bibi Aur Ghulam, and Chaudhvin Ka Chand.
In particular, Pyaasa and Kaagaz Ke Phool have been included among the greatest films of all time, Pyaasa by Time magazine’s “All-TIME” 100 best movies list and by the 2002 Sight & Sound critics’ and directors’ poll, where Dutt himself is included among the greatest film directors of all time.
But this talent could not stay with us for long as Guru Dutt was found dead on his bed in his rented apartment at Pedder Road in Mumbai on October 10, 1964.
He is said to have been taking alcohol mixed with sleeping pills. But it is still unknown whether his death was suicide or accidental.
Interestingly he was in a very happy mood the previous day and had shown no signs of depression.

4. Divya Bharti –

She acted in over a dozen Hindi films within a single year, which is still an unbroken record in the Hindi cinema.
Later, the actress married the director-producer Sajid Nadiadwala and ever converted to Islam and changed her name to Sana Nadiadwala.
However, destiny had its ways of playing with the angel. It was the fateful night of April 5, 1993, when the country lost Divya in a sudden turn of events.
There were numerous speculations by the media regarding Divya’s sudden demise, including the possibility of accidental death, suicide, and even murder.

Only time will tell what made the actor take up such a drastic step. Sushant Singh Rajput’s death has, at least, started the conversation about Depression in this country.
Depression, the term which is usually referred to as “Kharaab Mood” in our country is very real and most of the population is suffering from it.
Depression doesn’t care about your money or success. It can come to anyone and maybe ruin their lives unless helped.
Till we start accepting it as a real condition, we all need to take care of the people suffering from it.
Talk to them, cheer them, motivate them, and maybe, don’t say things which might hurt someone. And there is only one way to do it.
Choose Empathy over Sympathy. Empathy will go a long way, and it might help someone too. Be kind and be responsible, that’s the best you can do.
