Well, keep watching to find out. The SafeMoon Wallet landed on the Google Play Store on Monday, September 13th but not before a series of delays.
In fact, there was something of a pseudo launch on August 28th but due to unforeseen technical difficulties; the app was removed from Play Store. According to the SafeMoon team, the issues affected the website buy and swap function as well as the Android wallet and its iOS counterpart.
Apparently, the SafeMoon team ended its partnership with Simplex to form a better one with Wyre who will now be providing the backend to the buy button. For those who don’t know Wyre,
Wyre is a fiat-to-crypto gateway — one of the best in the industry actually. The company has provided the fiat-to-gateway for Metamask, Opensea, and many others.
Securing a partnership with Wyre is definitely better for SafeMoon in many ways. For one, Wyre is headquartered in the United States which everyone knows is very strict with KYC/AML regulations, both at the federal and state level.
So, with them providing the backend to the SafeMoon Wallet’s buy button, the wallet will have a better chance of success since it will face less restrictions in the United States and other parts of the world.
So, as you can see the delay in the launch was in order to come up with a solid product that SafeMooners would find worth waiting for in the end. It might have been 16 days late but, at least we now have a wallet that we are proud of. And we’ve got to give it to the SafeMoon dev team.
Everyone knows it’s been a drama-filled past few days for the SafeMoon community. However, the team has managed to keep its head above water and deliver when it mattered. CEO Karony said he is here and will complete the mission and, indeed, he is backing that up with action.
Now, before we get to the iOS wallet, we’ll touch on a couple other important updates and reminders. So, sit tight, and we’ll answer your pressing question in a bit.
First, an important reminder for those who have downloaded the SafeMoon wallet. You want to import your SafeMoon from your Trust Wallet instead of transferring it.
This was from The SafeMoon Hound himself. If you don’t know who he is, then make sure to watch my last article where I gave a brief explanation of who he is and how he is related to the SafeMoon team.
In a tweet he made before the launch of the SafeMoon wallet, he gave the following advice to SafeMooners.
Just to stay ahead of the FUD
1. When the wallet launches, do not send SafeMoon to your wallet address unless you want to pay a 10% fee. Import to avoid.
2. Importing your passphrase: We do not store personal info. It’s saved locally on your device only.
Please note: I am speaking about wallets. Bitmart and Bitmart only is a different setup with a different agreement. Transferring from Bitmart at this point in time will cost 1M SafeMoon but not a 10% fee. Still on importing into your SafeMoon Wallet.
We all know there are a lot of questions about importing and some other stuff like people buying ETH for SafeMoon.
Well, here are some points to consider.
- If you imported your TrustWallet / MetaMask seed phrase to SafeMoon, you can still access the token via the old wallet and buy more SafeMoon from there through the ways you know. You don’t need SafeMoon.
- If you created a new wallet in the SafeMoon app, you can also import the seed phrase into Trust Wallet / MetaMask and use the options there to buy more SafeMoon or to swap SafeMoon for SafeMoon and vice versa.
- SafeMoon, if I am correct, doesn’t get any reflections right now, it is just a bridge to the ETH Network. ETH can get pretty wild fees for gas. If you can’t handle $10 to $250 per transaction as gas, you probably shouldn’t buy it.
- Swapping from SafeMoon to SafeMoon will give you BNB gas, so no worries if you already bought SafeMoon. Just import your seed phrase to Trust Wallet / MetaMask and swap them for regular SafeMoon. They will, after that, be shown in your SafeMoon Wallet.
So, I hope that answers all the questions you have about importing and transferring your SafeMoon tokens. And finally, we get to the big question on everyone’s mind. When is the iOS version of the SafeMoon wallet going to be launched?
Well, when asked CEO Karony simply said that the wallet will be available “as soon as it is available.” In other words, this time, the SafeMoon dev team has opted to not give a date for when the iOS version of the wallet will drop.
According to The SafeMoon Hound, giving a countdown launch date is only going to give room to people who aren’t genuinely interested in the project but are looking to make a quick buck.
You know what countdown launch dates do? They allow people who want to make a quick buck get in early & sell after. I propose no more countdown dates. If you believe in us, then we launch quality products on realistic dates. When iOS drop? (and then he inserts an “I don’t know” emoji). SafeMooners also seem to agree with this new MO.
As redditor _raydeStar has pointed out, with our scheduled events, we tend to experience a pump and dump while unscheduled releases have resulted in steady 25% gains.
But with all of that said, if you ask me what my hypothesis is concerning the launch of the iOS version of the SafeMoon Wallet, I’d say the team is waiting for the launch of the iOS 15.
Plus, they also mentioned during a recent AMA that they will be using the Android launch to work out any bugs in the wallet. This way, by the time they submit the app to Apple, they stand better chances of getting approved.
If you have the Android Wallet, then you’ve probably noticed that the team is already making updates and working out bugs right now which means that we’re right on schedule. Besides, as you’ve probably heard,
Apple plans to launch the iOS 15 on September 20. In fact, Apple has revealed the Release Candidate for it already. The dev team would probably want to test the wallet on the RC first and then when they are sure that everything is working fine, they’ll submit the app to Apple for approval.
They already mentioned before that they wouldn’t want to release the app on iOS and then have to start making updates merely a few days after the app was released.
And if you ask me, that’s a smart move. Now, we know how Apple works. After an app is submitted for review, Apple takes between 24 to 48 hours to approve. Nevertheless, there are usually many apps in line for a review so it might take Apple a couple of weeks to get to an app.
Now, we don’t know if the team has submitted the app or not. And if they plan to submit the app after September 20 like I’m guessing they would, then factoring all the variables, we might have to wait till October to see the release of the iOS Wallet.
But, of course, this is just speculation. All we have is the team’s word that the iOS Wallet will be released and I think they have shown us that we can take their word to the bank.
What’s really got everyone excited with the “no countdown launch date” approach, though, is the expectation that SafeMoon’s prices would pump once the iOS wallet is released.

Conclusion – When will the iOS version of the SafeMoon Wallet be released?
We saw a small price pump after the Android Wallet was released and that was after several delays and missed deadlines.
And now with no release date announced, we might expect to see a bigger price pump once the iOS wallet is released, and that’s something to look forward to.
So, let me know what you think about all of this in the comment section.
