Any kid’s childhood memories are incomplete without some 90’s cartoon series imitations. We are sure your mother told you at some point in your younger years to eat spinach as it can make you strong just like it made Popeye the sailor man.
Well, my biggest fantasy as a kid was to travel to toy town in Noddy’s cute yellow car or become a Disney character so that I can befriend with Mickey Mouse.
This list can never end and it can make anyone nostalgic.

5. Oswald
Oswald is a story of a blue octopus and his dog that looks like a hotdog, named Weenie, and their friends like Daisy the flower, and Henry the penguin.
The series is set in Big City, a colorful world populated by imaginary creatures. Each episode follows the daily experiences of Oswald and Weenie in the cheerful and whimsically-designed community of Big City.
Me as a kid just loved how polite and optimistic Oswald was. His songs, his dance and his piano sessions were a treat to watch.
4. Doraemon
Is it just me or you also longed for Doraemon’s anywhere door and small light? Doraemon is a cute little cat-robot that was sent back in time from the 22nd century to keep an eye on a lazy and naughty kid Nobita.
Trouble seems to follow Nobita around, whether it’s forgetting to do his homework or getting bullied by his friends Gian and Suneyo, he’s always in need of Doraemon’s endless supply of gadgets. But poor Doraemon!
Nobita always ends up using the gadget wrong and Doraemon must rescue him. Broadcasted since 1979 with solid ratings, the cartoon’s over 900 episodes are available and are still under production.
It is broadcasted in more than 60 countries on major channels.
3. The Powerpuff Girls
This was probably the first and one of the only TV shows of the time that started teaching us about feminism.
The Powerpuff Girls centers on Blossom, Bubbles, and Buttercup, three kindergarten-aged girls with superpowers.
They live with their father Professor Utonium who was a scientist and attempted to create the “perfect little girl” using a mixture of “sugar, spice, and everything nice”.
However, he accidentally spilled a mysterious substance called “Chemical X” into the mixture, creating three girls and granting all three superpowers.
The girls all live in the fictional city of Townsville, USA and are frequently called upon by the city’s mayor to help fight their main arch-nemesis throughout the show Mojo Jojo, a chimpanzee who always plans to take over Townsville.
2. Scooby-Doo
The show needs no introduction. Scooby-Doo was the first proper cartoon detective show we watched. It was brilliant spending afternoons solving mysteries with the talking Great Dane dog along with Fred, Daphne, Velma and Shaggy who always meddled with the plans of criminal masterminds, all while eating some Scooby Snacks.
Scooby and gang used their intelligence to uncover mysteries that appear to be supernatural at first but always have a human behind them.
Each of the characters had their own gimmicks but gelled together to form the best investigative team in animation history.
1. Pokemon
After he turns 10, Ash Ketchum starts his journey as a Pokemon trainer with the dream of becoming a Pokemon master.
But having overslept, he rushes to Professor Oak to realize that the only Pokemon left for him to have is a Pikachu.
After a series of events, Pikachu finally trusts Ash, as they embark on their journey together while making both human and pokemon friends on their way to making Ash a pokemon master.
The show enjoyed unparalleled love from kids with pokemon toys selling at a high rate. Even an augmented reality mobile game called Pokemon Go was released in 2016 that saw even more success.
